Hello Sir, since you have not filed return and this interest on fdr from bank has been shown and tds is deducted on your PAN. Therefore, as you are saying there is no taxable income then to claim the TDS you should file the return.
From a long term perspective, It is best that you file your income tax return. even if there is no taxable income. In case you plan to file return, you could select the "return under preparation" option.
kindly also share the period to which the notice pertains.
OK. I will file the IT return. But what should I put under the tab - ' information relates to ' for the 2 above mentioned information codes ? Also how time is required to file the IT return ?
Your income and notice pertains to which AY?? IT file can be prepared depending upon complexity of your transactions. If there are not much issues, we could do the needfull in a day or so.
Please donot do it on your own and avail expert services to file compliance in IT website.
Hello Aniruddha,
As TDS is deducted so it is preferable to file your IT returns even if your income is not taxable.
Secondly, it is in your benefit to file the the IT return as you may get the TDS amount as refund as you are not liable for tax.
You can select Not liable to tax under the tab.
Trust this clarifies your query.
Feel free to get back/ call back for any further clarifications.
Thanking You.
