• ITR 2018

Hi,

I have incorporated an LLP, the CoR of which was obtained on the 15th of September, 2017. The business has not started generating any revenues as of now and the tax payable is nil. I believe the final date for the filing of the tax return is on the 30th of April. Is there an extension available for the filing and what are the negativities associated with the delayed filing, if any?

Thanks,
Anurag

Dear Sir,

30.04.2018 is the last date for GSTR filing. For ITR last date is 31.07.2018. If you have obtained GST registration then you need to file NIL GST return monthly otherwise not required.

LLP is compulsorily required to file ITR irrespective of turnover. If not filed within due date you may end up in paying late fee and assessment by deptt.

Thanks

Hi,

The last day for filing your IT Return is 31.07.2018. Not filing returns on time may result in late fees, assessments and penalties by the department.

30th Apr, that you are referring to , is the last day for GSTR filing.

Hope that clarifies.

Regards,

Nikhil.

HI,

For LLP, following are the basic compliances to be followed each year irrespective of any business operations conducted by the LLP.

1. Income tax return filing for the financial year 2017-18 ( April 2017- March 2018)

2. ROC filing which involves two returns to be filed each year. If these forms are not filed on or before due date, the late fee is applicable each day for rs 100/-.

Delayed filing may lead to high penalty in terms of cost especially in case of LLP as in case of PLC, there is an upper cap available to limit the penalty figure. But in case of LLP, there is no upper limit.

Thanks
