Entered Company Name by mistake in PAN CArd Name field
Hi SIr, I am from Delhi and I was trying to register for VAT+CST as Regular Dealer on dvat.gov.in and by mistake in the field named Name on the PAN CARD, I entered my company Name instead of my name. After a few hours when I checked my status on the same , it was giving an error message in Status that PAN has been Rejected due to mismatch with CBDT(Income Tax Deptt) database. Now there was no option to edit this, so I created a new request and this time I entered my Name Properly in the field but it immediately gave the same Error message on the same request. It seems like a Sofwtare issue. What do I do now. I tried calling their helpline number which is surprisingly 24 X 7 but the guy who picked up does not seem to have knowledge and was suggesting to login using my password first as a dealer which cannot happen because I have not been registered in the first Place

Dear Sir,
In such a case you have to contact your Nodal Officer either in person or call to reject your application. Only then you will be allowed to file a fresh application.

What do you mean by talking to nodal officer. How do I know who he is.

Dear Sir,
Nodal officer is the sales tax officer who will handle your case.
To find out who he is, you have to visit or send someone to the Sales Tax registration cell, they will then help you to reject your application and then file a fresh application.
