Hi,
The expense incurred for medical treatment is not allowed as deduction unless the expenditure is for a senior citizen (you / spouse / parents). However, expense incurred for preventive health check-up of self, spouse and children is allowed as deduction upto INR 5K within the overall limit of 25K.
- No it is not allowed as deduction. Preventive health check up expenses upto Rs. 5k is allowed as deduction within the overal limit of Rs.25k.
For whom did you incurr such expense?
If it is for senior citizens i.e. for you or your parents you might claim it as expense otherwise not.
