Hi, I am about to launch an ecommerce site. I am based in Bangalore. The questions i have are; 1. Do I need to show my merchant VAT number in the invoices I mail to our customers? 2. I have an all inclusive pricing which also includes VAT. Do i have to breakdown the product price & VAT in the invoice? I am right now thinking of having a serialized invoice number without merchant VAT number and VAT breakdown in the invoice as I have seen other websites do just that. Please guide.

Generally, In most of the VAT Laws, it is mandatory to show VAT no and VAT breakdown on Invoices.
Many online dealers are making default in showing VAT no and VAT breakdown in the invoices issued by them.

Thanks for answering my question. Just a follow-up question. Other online stores have all-inclusive pricing, and they don't show the breakdown in their invoices. If the breakdown is required, then how do they go about it in terms of accounting? Will my CA (when I hire one) help me account for this if i go with an all-inclusive pricing model?
