my company has a tool in which I enter the "Contribution to Provident Fund as per PF Act,1925" as some amount..this is the one I was referring to I hope this is claimable under tax exemption.

Yes you can claim your contribution to PF as a deduction u/s 80C of the Income Tax Act upto a maximum of Rs 1,50,000/- along with other applicable deductions towards Life Insurance Premium etc.

Both you, the employee as well as the employer contribute to provident fund. Both can be claimed as deduction. Usually, when the employer issues Form 16 to you, it would have been considered.

in CTC two parts of PF includes , 1 Employers share 2 Employee Share
you can claim Your (employee share ) as deduction under section 80C , Employer share is not considered as your income nor as deduction for you.
