Responded like this--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
During tax file processing for the AY 2022-2023, CPC Bangalore noticed there is a tax credit mismatch. Which I did not agree with, I have filed my ITR based on form 16 & form 26AS.
As per form 16 & form 26AS: Total paid tax: 6,27,622. Whereas, As per income tax department, CPC bangalore: Total Paid tax: 5,86,296. ( Short of 41,326).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So far, no response received from CPC / AO for my disagree response.
1. Another problem, my AO is in mumbai and i am in chennai, how to proceed with further with AO ?
2. We are suspecting there must be tax credit mismatch has happened from hdfc bank. I made a cash withdrawal and tds has recovered at that time. I have mentioned the same in my ITR-2. But there are chances the Income tax department might have considered this as my other source of income..
3. This year ITR has been processed and refund is proposed for adjustment against demand. What to do know?
